‘Plan Norte’ supposed in 1993 the end of a military deployment of Spanish Army more than two centuries old, reducing dramatically the number of military personnel. Subsequently, November 8th, 2000 was a historic date for Spaniards, since that day was the last draw of a system of forced recruitment, derived from 1812. Both were the death knell of the military barracks Daoiz and Velarde and Alfonso XIII in Seville, with the disaffection of military use.
